Grease and flour 2 (9-inch) cake pans. Combine 18.25-ounce yellow cake mix with 1/2 cup oil, 1 cup buttermilk, 2 tablespoons cocoa, 5 eggs and 2 ounces of red food coloring and mix well. (Color pastes will give more vivid color than regular liquid food coloring. Color pastes are sold in craft and cake decorating stores.
