Another cupcake store is set to open in Boston, but this one may have high culinary standing among the city’s cupcake lovers.

The new store’s owner, Victoria Donnelly, won Food Network’s Cupcake Wars in December of 2010 with her mint chocolate chip cupcakes, and she also won the Best Cupcake at the 2010 New England Dessert Showcase.

The store, Cakeology , is set to open in late July in Downtown Crossing, with about a dozen employees.

For the last year, Cakeology has been in the delivery-only mode. Customers ordered online from Cakeology’s website or over the phone; their cupcakes were then delivered by a sunshine-yellow van with a panda named Bruce on its side. When the store opens, Bruce and the bright color-scheme will stay.
