It's important to find a moment alone to enjoy them. My husband and daughter are the lights of my life but I am one of those people who appreciates a little bit of solitude, and not just when I'm working. I find that a little time to myself recharges the batteries. It's hard to come by these days and I've adjusted to embracing those moments wherever I can find them, usually when the two of them are playing in the backyard. Hearing them enjoy themselves frees me to do the same. Although there is a laundry list of work projects, emails and other miscellanea that require my attention I ignore them. It's not easy, as my conscience nags quietly in the background. but I persevere. Arranging a couple of pretzels on a pretty plate and taking them off to a quiet spot to enjoy, I consciously force myself to relax.

Went to a Cupcake-ery yesterday. So inspired by the Chocolate Covered Pretzel one. It was like walking into my own dream realized. Kuddos..
My mom and I are debating if I make Chocolate covered pretzel rods tonight, will they be good for Christmas Eve. I cover them about 3/4 of the way and then freeze them. If I put them in a ziplock bag, will they stay good?
They should be fine. I'm making regular shaped little pretzels with a Rolo on top of each one. Heat them in the oven for 3-4 minutes and squish a pecan or M&M on top. Quick and easy. Yum.
how to make chocolate covered pretzel without the chocolate melting. i'll put it in the frezzer, but when i take it out, how long would you think it will last? when i brought them from the dollar store, it doesn't melt for a day!
You need to "temper" your chocolate.
The easiest way to do this with out a thermometer is to melt a portion of your chocolate first then add the rest into the melted.
I do this for pretzels in a large "mason jar" melt about 3/4 pound of chocolate in the jar in the microwave. Do this in 30 second bits stir between.
